Secret spelling & Copper contrast · 1.4.3

RICK is removed from all word sets. Catch ordinary R → I → C → K consecutively yourself in any set or difficulty to start the hidden challenge. Other caught letters and special blocks interrupt the trigger; missed drops and pausing do not. Trigger catches retain normal scoring and penalties. Copper now has stronger tile, basket and text contrast in both light and dark mode. Existing unlocks and old RICK statistics are preserved. Install Full or Lite over your previous APK to keep saved data.

Classic rain returns · 1.4.2

Original-style random drops and varied falling speeds are back, with gradual acceleration as you play and occasional waves of two or three attempts. Current and next-letter selections are evenly distributed, while multiple target copies can fall together. Printed letters stay fixed. The 5% base increase and speed-linked frequency boost remain. Full and Lite updates preserve data when installed over your existing app.

What’s new in 1.3.4

Handwriting now disables the Color theme selector. Turn handwriting off to restore the selected palette. Choose background music below the rules: the original Pocket Forecast remains available alongside Carefree and Monkeys Spinning Monkeys. All three work offline in the Android APK; the selected built-in track is saved. Install updates over the existing app to keep records.

Handwriting alignment

The lowercase i and l are now centered inside their fixed-width handwriting cells. The corrected font is included in the browser game and Android APK. Install over the existing app to keep scores, word statistics and unlocks.

Music and scoring

Original offline BGM Pocket Forecast, with distinct sound effects for correct/wrong letters, shields, wildcards, completed/perfect words, wildcard-mode activation, speed increases, regeneration, HP loss and shield shattering. Perfect words use their own completion sound. Theme, BGM and SFX switches share one header row; music and effects can be muted independently. Music pauses with the game and Stats.

Phone players can choose a local audio file (up to 24 MB) below the rules to replace the background tune for this session. Files stay on the device and are never uploaded. Use original BGM restores Pocket Forecast. HP loss and shield shattering request vibration on supported phones; Android uses its normal vibration permission.

Hard scores 1.5× Normal: correct +15, word +75, and wrong +1.5 while scoring is active. The 2× perfect bonus stacks to +30 / +150. Existing scores, stats, settings and unlocks are kept when installing the new APK over the old app.

Word sets, themes and bonuses

Choose Classic, Nature, Space or Tricky word sets, with independently selectable Lime, Mint, Blue and Coral colors plus light/dark mode. Normal uses 4–7 letters; Hard uses 6–7 letters. In both Normal and Hard, six perfect words in a row restore one heart (up to three) and unlock 2× points for subsequent letters and word completions, shown by a yellow target word. The bonus ends only when perfection breaks; catches protected by the perfection-preserving shield exceptions keep it. Every further six perfect words can restore another heart.

Normal-mode wildcards spawn at 1.5% while unlocked. Hard has no wildcards. Shielded wrong catches keep purple mode but still slow the game. A duplicate full shield costs two hearts; Normal removes it all, while Hard retains half. A half-shield duplicate costs one heart and shatters the shield. A Give up button lets you end a run after confirmation. There is also a hidden Rick challenge and unlockable theme.

Hard starts at 160% speed and caps at 280%. Its current-letter and next-letter chances are 8% each. The settings panel hides while playing and returns when paused or finished.

NEW: Handwriting paper uses notebook lines, original pen-stroke lettering, sketched tiles and basket, red hazards and blue shields, inspired by the creator’s drawings. It overrides the selected palette while enabled, and turning it off restores your color choice. The Rick color theme only appears after its challenge has been completed.

1.3.1 also redraws the handwriting shield as a pointed shield badge and corrects the README’s bonus rules.

How to play

Drag across the play area, use the browser arrow buttons, or press the arrow keys. Catch the highlighted letter. Wrong catches reset the word; three in a row pause scoring until a correct catch. Full shield, wildcard, speed and regeneration rules are below the game.

The Android app saves your personal best and word encounter/perfect counts locally, with Game and Word Stats tabs. Opening Stats pauses the game; returning requires manual resume. Install updates over the existing app to keep records. Reset word stats requires confirmation and keeps your personal best and unlocked themes.

Free and open source. No accounts, ads, tracking or database. Browser theme/settings and unlocks are stored locally; the APK also stores scores and word records.
